Tomorrow night as many of you might know is prayer and worship starting at 7pm til perhaps 8:30ish, depending if you all arrive at 7pm We will really let that night be an open atmosphere for y’all, so that we can worship and pray in a free environment and of course as one body in Christ as BSERC. I am so EXCITED!!!

I know there might be people who might not come because they have papers due or finals to study, but this will be only for an hour and half tops. Plus, for me Joe Liski, I have a 10 page paper due on Thursday, which I still have not started on yet. As you can see, I am not screwed God Is GOOD!

So remember same time, same place. Be there or be square or just be aware… I don’t know… I was trying to freestyle, but that did not work

As some of you might know, I’m subscribed to a Bible Translation mailing list, which is a forum to discuss many of the difficulties of translation, specifically Bible translation. Anyway, today one of the members shared a link to this website which discusses various Hebrew metaphors and how each has been translated (sometimes too literally) into English. Anyway follow this link to see what I’m talking about, and let’s discuss it.

Someone on slashdot is citing an AP article coming out of San Fran which suggests the Real ID Act was passed last week. Looking at the article and (briefly) skimming over the legislation referred to, I didn’t notice any mention about the Real ID Act of 2005. I then did some more searching and found that yes, much of the Real ID Act of 2005 was included in the FY 2005 Supplemental, which was passed unanimously in the Senate yesterday. The good news, as someone commented on slashdot, is the restriction against pre-packaged (read government propaganda) videos (i.e., VNRs). I wonder how much this bill is going to impact the U.S. after FY 2005.

Hi fellow BSERCers, this is Joe Liski asking a major big prayer request, today at 1:30pm, my sister will be going to court with my dad because she hasn’t been attending school for some time now. I honestly do not know what to do but to just trust God’s will and lean on his understanding and not my own. Ok, so like please pray for her and my dad, my sister’s name is Brandi Liski. I know all y’all are prayer warriors.

Also, just special thanks to Lauren and Kat and Margarate who went to PCC last Friday night. And for all who did not go, it’s all good, but y’all missed out! JOKE! The dvd will come out in like 8 to 10 weeks, so yeah.

There’s this post on slashdot talking about the possible passage of a bill (tomorrow!) that would require national identification cards. Here’s a link to the text and status of the bill. Has anyone else read The Illuminati, or the more (in)famous 1984?
